on their 2013 debut album voyage, l.a. duo de lux introduced their singular sound, a fusion of post-punk, disco, funk and synth wizardry. fun though voyage was, described by the guardian as -intricate, witty, inventive, dazzling and by dj mag as fresh, immediate, for their follow-up, de lux felt compelled to add an element of social commentary to the mix.

denis kaznacheev is better known as one half of the russian duo easy changes. hes also the co-founder of nervmusic. he advocates a very organic and powerful minimal techno and makes use of his modular system on his own and unique way. denis cooks a mix of emotions to your ears and to the floor. waiting for his visa application between siberia and moscow hes been doing some music for us and we love it. he offered to bring us on its journey with brilliant textures and a superb sounding ep.

unknot is the duo consisting of producer/dj sciahri and composer/audiohead emanuele porcinai. unknot01 is the first release on the duos self-titled label. the music is derived from recordings of jam sessions taken on a semi-modular set-up and later contextualized, through arrangement, within a dancefloor-oriented framework.
the core of unknots sound is strictly bound both to sciahris solid techno background and to the mutable character of emanuele’s electroacoustic productions. the dialogue between such distant practices and approaches, brought to an extremely restrained setup, is what defines unknots musical identity.
